Presente.org Responds to Obama Veto of Keystone XL Pipeline

Feb. 24, 2015

Statement from Arturo Carmona, Executive Director of Presente.org, the nation's largest online Latino organizing group:

“This is a huge victory for the growing climate movement. It is also a huge win for Latinos across the country, who poll after poll have shown want greater government action on climate change.

Now, it is time for President Obama to do the inevitable and reject the Keystone XL Pipeline once and for all.

Latino communities are fed up with sacrificing our health for toxic fossil fuel production, and our well being for the sake of greater and greater profits for companies whose profit model relies on fueling increasingly extreme and dangerous weather.”
