Presente.org Statement on Passage of Senate Keystone XL Bill

Jan. 29, 2015

Statement from Arturo Carmona, Executive Director of Presente.org:

“Apparently the 2016 Republican strategy for the Latino vote is to bash us, pollute our communities, and then tear our families apart. Today’s vote by Republicans in the Senate to try to force the Keystone XL Pipeline, coming just days after yet another oil spill, is a slap in the face to Latinos nationwide on the front lines of toxic fossil fuel pollution and climate change-fueled extreme weather, droughts, and flooding.

President Obama has already made it clear he will veto Keystone XL, but today we ask him to end this congressional circus and reject this pipeline once and for all.”
