Immigrants should be shot like pigs?

On Monday, March 14, 2011, in a legislative hearing Kansas State Representative Virgil Peck made the following despicable comment:
“It looks like to me if shooting these immigrating feral hogs works maybe we have found a [solution] to our illegal immigration problem.”
It’s time to hold politicians like Rep. Peck accountable for their hateful rhetoric. Not only are his words offensive, they’re dangerous and completely unacceptable. Language like his creates a climate of fear and hatred toward Latinos that leads to real violence in communities across the country.
